How do I register my child?

All registration is handled through our registrar system.

You will need to have an account with our registrar system in order to register your child to play or yourself to volunteer.

For assistance on how it works, please see our How to Register page.

When does registration open and close?

Fall: May 15th - August 15th
Spring: January 1st - March 15th

What if a program is full - is there a waitlist?

Yes, there are waitlists.

Can my child request to play with a friend or a specific coach?

Mighty Mites & Rec: Yes, but only up until the date listed for priority registration. And it is a first-come first-serve basis, so if the team is full there is nothing we can do.

Development & Competitive: No. Teams are made based on development level and placement.

How do the age divisions work?

Mighty Mites, Recreation, Development and Competitive all go by school grade age levels (8/1 - 7/31 the following year).

Divisions by Grade Level

  • U6 - PreK & K
  • U7 - 1st grade
  • U8 - 2nd grade
  • U9 - 3rd grade
  • U10 - 4th grade
  • U11 - 5th grade
  • U12 - 6th grade
  • U13 - 7th grade
  • U14 - 8th grade
Development & Competitive

OYSA now uses grade level birth dates for age divisions. So, for each level the dates go from 8/1 through 7/31 of the following year.

As an example, 8/1/2016 - 7/31/2017 would be an age level.

  • Anyone born before 8/1/2016 would need to play in the next age level up (8/1/2015 - 7/31/2016).
  • Anyone born after 7/31/2017 could still play in this age level, or the age level below them (8/1/2017 - 7/31/2018).
