How to become a coach
When you register your child for Recreation, Development or Competitive, you can fill out that you are interested in volunteering and select the position you want to volunteer for.
Equipment
For Coaches
- SESC provides coaches with all the necessary equipment and asks that items be returned at the end of the season
- For Mighty Mites teams the following coaching items are provided: pugg pop up goals, balls, first aid kit, pump, whiteboard and marker, whistle, cones, cold packs, uniform shirts
- For 2nd grade teams the following coaching items are provided: pugg pop up goals, balls, first aid kit, pump, whiteboard and marker, whistle, cones, cold packs and practice pennies
- For 3rd-8th grade teams the following coaching items are provided: balls, first aid kit, pump, whiteboard and marker, whistle, cones, cold packs, practice pennies, goal net, goalie shirt and gloves, corner flags
- Coaches will bring a net and set of corner flags to each game (provided by SESC). It can be helpful to have parents volunteer to set those items up during pre-game warmup.
Timeline
- Coaches pickup equipment at the end of August
- Due to our need to inventory and purchase gear, as well as our timeline for registration this is the earliest we can offer gear pickup

- Practices and games start in early September
For Players
- Mighty Mites players will be provided with a team shirt for games
- Players on teams grade 2 – 8 will need to purchase uniforms from Tursi Soccer
- Coaches will assign numbers to their players
